Back into Recording
Posted in Music, Recording on August 28th, 2007 by BillMike and I have been recording since my computer is back up and runnin’. It’s sooo much easier on this computer. It has been so much less frustrating than it used to be. Actually, we stopped recording before my computer shut down last time, and it was because I got so frustrated recording with him. But my second monitor makes it nice. While he’s laying down a track, I can surf the web or chat on AIM or play freecell, which allows us to be a lot more productive.
One of the new songs up on here is called “Go ahead, make my day.” The name was inspired by Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry. The other is called “everysundayilistentorockmusic.” The first was record a long time ago, but I’ve made changes to it and it’s finally ready to be on here, and it was the first song I’ve recorded with real drums in it. That was really fun. The second was the one we just recorded the other night. It’s got a really different feel to it. It’s only two guitars, one really clangy one, and the other really bassy, and both of them over electronic hip-hop beats. So, it’s kind of fun.
I hope you enjoy them!
